GUIDE TO THE HILLTOP

 The community center is a welcoming spot that hosts all manner of events. It is currently the center of underground music in the city. 

 Coffee shop by day, bar by night, this spot has quickly become the heart of the Hilltop. Always welcoming, it has events like trivia and tastings, while also being a popular spot for runners to start their day. One of the best spots in the city to watch soccer, it frequently has premier league play on the screens. 

 Located within Hilltop Public House, grab a pint and watch your bike get repaired. 

 This salon prides itself on its welcoming nature, making a safe space for people of all walks of life to come and get a cut. While it does cater to the more alternative, eclectic crowd, truly anyone will feel at home here. 

 The home where Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald met, this is not open to the public. However you can drive by and see it’s stately grace as it is being restored to its original splendor. 

 This building was once a fire station, that has now been renovated into one of the nicest event spaces in MGM. Beyond hosting a number of stately events, it also has an attached Airbnb. 

 This recording studio is located on the grounds of the Sanctuary. The sonic lab of exceptional sound engineer Robert Shimp, it has hosted all manner of bands within its studio, as well as streaming and recording musical acts at the Sanctuary next door. 

 Right in the very center of the five points that make up the Hilltop roundabout is a memorial commemorating the Selma to Montgomery Civil Rights trail. 

 There are two residential neighborhoods that make up the Hilltop: Three Points and Cottage Hill. These two spots are filled with old homes, some going back over a century. Cottage Hill is also home to a Tiny Free Library.
